As I lay the groundwork for what I want to build and I know that I can’t do it alone. Drawing on my network of Entrepreneurs, I want to put together a team of Artisans. This is our creative table, keeping it local and bringing the different turkish arts home to Salt Lake City.
What am I wanting to create?
First and foremost, I want to create a brand of organic, locally roasted Turkish Coffee that embodies all the flavor points of home. Luckily, this was the easiest part since one of my besties has her own roasting company and really came through with creating such a smooth cup of coffee.
Check one box off the list!
If I take time to think about some of the traditional Turkish arts and pull together a list, olive oil soap is on the top of the list. For thousands of years, olive oil soap has been a staple in the Turkish culture. Again, it didn’t long to reach into my digital rolodex and find another bestie who makes soaps. A simple text of “hey, I have this idea..want to play?” and within minutes, i am delivering 3.5 cups of lebanese olive oil over to her to try and make a batch of locally made lemon lavendar olive oil soap.
Finally, I have one more picture in my head that I want to try and make real: find a local ceramist or potter to make artisan Turkish coffee cups. That will be a project for after the holidays.
As each of these different artisans join me at my table, I want to take time to introduce you to them. These people are my family and I’m sure you will love them as much as I do.
