Years ago when I first did the Farmers Market way back in 2004, I remember how important it was to have Gluten Free Cakes and treats for people. There was such a sense of appreciation that they were thought of in the daily baking.
When I opened Kahve Cafe, it was really important to me to be able to de-glutenize as much as I could from baked goods, savories, and traditional Mediterranean salads.
All of our baked cakes and cookies use the Namaste Gluten Free flour blend and it has worked so well to cross over our recipes to become Gluten Free.
Right now we offer 5 regular Gluten free cakes, a syrup soaked GF cookie and GF vegan tarts. There are still so many more that we are working to perfect and get out there, so keep your eyes out for the new ones as they begin to roll out. We have a whole line of GF cookies that we plan to roll out over the course of the next few months!
- Turkish Black Tea Cake
- Turkish Dried Fig Cake
- Lemon Curd coffee cake
- Turkish coffee Coffee cake
- Sekerpare syrup cookies
- Jam Filled Tarts
- Turkish Black Olive Cake
In addition to that, we are working really hard to transform traditional food, salads, and vegetable dishes to be more gluten free. Our tabbouleh uses quinoa instead of bulgar and we will be shifting bulgar from our soups as well once we nail the recipe a few times the “right” way.
I truly love to be able to tell people that I have food for many dietary restrictions and invite help into transforming recipes to better serve the needs of the customers.
I understand what it’s like to not be able to eat things because of a dietary allergy. Please never hesitate to help make our recipes more dietary conscious!
- We are not a Gluten Free certified kitchen. We cannot guarantee no cross contamination, but we truly try our best.
