Have you met Wendy?

Wendy had been a long time friend, advisor and big sister of sorts for me for almost 16-ish years.

Together, we are going to be the dynamic duo bringing all this together.

She has the biggest heart and thinks like I do: in pictures, sideways, and sometimes upside down.

Years and years ago, she opened one of the first energy and healing centers called the Energy Emporium. Next, she move onto The Tao of home (which is where I met her!)

She and I tried to building Seventh and 7th years ago together, but it wasn’t the right time for a creative healing space.. NOW the time is right and ripe for all the things that have been floating in the air ready to land.

The overall Victorian creative collective will be called The Wise Dragonfly. Wandering spirits need to find a place to call home.

Kahve cafe will find a home on the main floor there as well as @thedivorceecafe, @bohemianbaklava @urbanhempandcannabis and other small micro businesses, artisans, healers, world changers.

It’s going to be exciting. It’s going to up everyone’s game. It will be disruptive. It will be just the right touch of gypsy/artist/healer/business kind of good juju! Do feel like your business would align with this? Reach out and let’s chat!

Hip hip hooray for a good visit from the Health Dept!

A Jolly, happy Inspector came the other day, took a look around and the amount of modifications is so small:

1. Add a triple sink against one wall
2. Add a mop sink in the bathroom and connect to fold shower hookups

There are some other small things to protect walls, but all in all, it’s a win!

Over the past few months, so many people asked me why I was secretly holding out and waiting for the Victorian to open up.

It has good bone structure for the kitchen and my gut told me that there wasn’t a crazy amount to do to get it ready.

Always go with your gut...it’s knows things..

Now into figuring out why the state wants to put a lien on my business for $3000 of 2020 taxes and I haven’t open doors yet...blah!

Always an adventure, right?!!

Hi! Meet Rhubarb! She is one of my chickens that will provide eggs for the brunch boxes as well as for the cafe when it opens.

Over the past couple of years, our animal family has grown to include 7 chickens.. um...I couldn’t stop getting baby chicks and here we are with a plethora of eggs!!

One of the things that I want to do is to grow as much of the produce (and eggs!!) as possible for my cooking all the yummies at Kahve cafe.

This spring not only will I be planting in my yard but in another homestead as well! Maybe next year, we will have a plan to cultivate the empty plot of land behind the garage of the Victorian into a big community garden for harvesting as well as dining..

I don’t think I can get THAT rolling in addition to opening a cafe-I’m crazy but not THAT crazy 😜!

Anyhoo! Wanted you meet one of my girls!

Once upon a time, I sat among giants. A few years

Once upon a time, I sat among giants.

A few years ago on the last trip to Turkey, we visited my uncles olive grove.

These old twisted beings sprawled out as far as I could see and it felt like a million miles to drive by then to get to the entrance.

When we finally got there and I cot out of the car, I just NEEDED to take my shoes off to feel all that wisdom beneath my feet.

What I didn’t realize was that the workers completely understood what I was doing..

As I walked past them, I heard whispers “she’s taken her shoes off to feel their energy!”

There is such a presence that just emanates from old trees.. some of these were close to 800 years old.

Trees don’t just grow up straight but from many seedlings that twist and merge into each other creating strength as they grow together.

I guess that’s kind of what I want to create w this cafe: many artist and growing together in strength, with each other, helping each move forward.

When one rises, we all rise together.

Coming sooner than you think.. fingers crossed by late spring!
